we used to live in the area and never had any issues with any of the schools in the Mansfield School district, but am now getting conflicting opinions on Summit high School in Arlington in MISD

I was wondering if any parent out there would mind sharing any of their personal experiences and thoughts about the school. Please speak freely. I do not judge and if other have any respect for people who are not afraid to speak their minds, they wont bother judging either....

So please, good thoughts bad thoughts.... experiences and concerns... let it rip!

One other questions.... Does The Ben Barber Tech Academy start 11th grade or is a 4 year school?

Went to Summit back when it was taking in students from Mansfield and Arlington. At the time the school was considered a so-so school. Spent two years there before Legacy High opened up and left Summit just for Arlington residents. From what I heard Summit had went down hill from there. I might be wrong but I believe Summit is the lowest rating High school in Mansfield and honestly I recommend looking at either Martin High or one of Mansfield's other schools.
Ben Barber is a four year school (some "career" plans are set up to take all four years).

Don't do it. Summit is not a good school. It and Timberview are the high schools to avoid in Mansfield ISD (both have a majority of their students coming from the City of Arlington). Even when I was at Martin, those two schools had bad reputations.

this is why Arlington Needs its own forum.....
I mentioned this many times and people say it is not necessary.. Arlington is bigger than Dallas and Fort Worth yet doesnt deserve its own sub category?
