Hello,

My husband has recently received an offer for the Fort Worth area. I believe we have settled on the Tanglewood area. We know it is an older area and so are plan is to buy one of the few remaining lots that are available and build? We also talked about buying and remodeling and we JUST did that at our current location in NoVA so I dont know if we have it in us to do that again. So does anyone have any recommendations? It appears from looking at googlemaps that several of the smaller homes have been removed and newer homes built, so clearly there must be home builders out there, but does anyone have any recs?

Thank you!

If that area has an HOA or Architectural Control Committee you might try contacting them for builder ideas. Some of those older neighborhoods can be picky about what gets built so as to not ruin the aesthetics of the area. They might have some builders that have worked in the area before.

If there's a remaining lot in Tanglewood there's probably a reason why it hasn't been built on. Tanglewood is one of the most desirable neighborhoods in Fort Worth. A teardown, if you can find an affordable one, might be a better bet.
