Why are Grand Prairie schools rated so badly? They are rated embarrassingly low. What’s up with this?

Those ratings are mainly related to test scores

Low income area = more difficult kids = hard to hire good teachers = low test scores

Something to keep in mind regarding Grand Prairie is its expansive municipal boundaries, which extend into three counties - Dallas, Tarrant, and Ellis. The boundaries of six school districts include parts of Grand Prairie, but only four of them cover substantially developed areas - Grand Prairie ISD, Arlington ISD, Mansfield ISD, and Cedar Hill ISD. I highly doubt that there are no reputable, well-regarded campuses in any of them.
