That’s only in the core and to be honest it has one of the strictest downtown design and review boards in the country, which discourages developers from investing in the core. The city also turned down a street car grant from the federal goverment that would have connected core districts. In that instance the city definitely didn’t choose the pedestrian. I will co-sign overall Fort Worth is definetly more pedestrian friendly compared to Dallas and other Texas cities.

If that were the case, we'd have a much... MUCH better transportation system and the Bass Family wouldn't have put a cap on certain businesses/modern streetcars in downtown.
Also, there's gentrification and eminent domain practices happening here, as well, just like any other major city.
