Can anyone give insight as to why there are so many sex offenders living in Weatherford? It's rated one of the 50 most safest cities in Texas, but that's hard to believe.

Sex offenders are everywhere now. Pull up a map of any neighborhood in DFW and you'll be shocked.

For sure.

And since they are social deviants of a criminal nature, and certain laws mandate their whereabouts as public knowledge, so it is.

There are other social deviants just as ubiquitous, but since society doesn't categorize them the same way, and since they are not criminals, they could live next door and you would not know unless by happenstance, or you were specifically searching them out.

Somethings are better left unknown.

The registered sex offenders are the ones that have been caught, punished, and are, at least on the surface, abiding by the terms of their punishment. A predator that has flown under the radar and never been caught could be living next door to you and you would be none the wiser.
