I have a question about Weatherford. Is it a pretty nice town as far as crime goes and do people commute from there to Fort Worth?

Yes, people commute from Weatherford to Fort Worth. Living on the west side of Tarrant County is a popular option, and I’ve been told traffic on I30 is pretty heavy during rush hours. The new Walsh Ranch development in far west Fort Worth will only make the traffic worse.

I don’t think there is too much of a crime issue there; from what I’ve seen, Weatherford is a decent town.

I wouldnt worry too much about crime if you dont go honky tonkin late at night, dont hang around sketchy people and sketchy areas and are not involved with illegal activities such as drugs. The commute to Fort Worth would seem tough and unpleasant for me.

I did this exact thing for a number of years, except to Arlington. It wasn't bad.

Weatherford to downtown Fort Worth is a 45 minute commute with normal rush hour traffic.

Kinda a long drive, but Weatherford is a nice town in my experience.

The Court House is very cool, but sadly the square was basically turned into a giant roundabout

They are in the land acquisition phase of building a bypass that will direct traffic around the square. The plan is to make it more walk-able and add more shops, restaurants, and bars.
