Loves2read,
Great great points! FW seems to have a few top museums but I really find local art community non-existent or invisible. FW simply does not attract those hip crowds and itself has very limited vibe compared with more liberal cities such as Austin, San Francisco, or even our east neighbor Dallas. And research shows that cities that can attract such creative groups have better potential for development and quality of life. It's not about sushi, not about live music, not about a waterfront, or a light rail system, or bikers/hikers clubs, but when you add all these together, you see cities that lead others.

most people in FTW are polite enough not to trash your house if they disagree with your "liberal" point of view--
I still don't think anyone agrees on what LIBERAL and HIP are defined as

for instance in my town of Bedford the local theater group is doing the musical
The Full Monty--well I can tell you even though the rolling billboard says R-rated we won't be having the full frontal that they probably showed on Broadway...just the languge is considered salty enough--and I am surprised they could get enough guys for the main parts...
