There should be an observation tower or observation wheel built in Downtown Fort Worth or close to Downtown as the city currently does not have such an attraction. Downtown Dallas has Reunion Tower year round with the Texas Star and Top O Tower at Fair Park open during the State Fair. Grapevine has the Grapevine Main Tower and The Colony has The Grandscape Wheel. Arlington has the Oil Derrick Observation Tower at Six Flags. The proposal that would be best suited for Downtown Fort Worth is a tower with a rotating cabin similar to the Brighton I360 in Brighton, England or the Top O Texas Tower at the State Fair of Texas. The Tower in Downtown Fort Worth should be 550 feet tall and the cabin should have some seats and space for people to walk around and stand like the Brighton I360 as the cabin rotates. Other options for such a tower about 550 feet tall include a Polercoaster or Skyline by US Thrill Rides Wondering how long it would be before such a tower could open to the public. Also, what locations in and around Downtown Fort Worth would be suited for a tower of this nature. https://dallas.culturemap.com/news/e...rk-state-fair/ https://www.google.com/amp/s/www.the...r.html%3famp=1 https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Polercoaster https://www.usthrillrides.com/skyspire https://dallas.culturemap.com/news/e...odonata-finch/ https://fwtx.com/news/grapevine-main...-opening-date/

It would be nice, I've always said that Fort Worth needs a cool billionaire like Elon Musk or Jeff Bezos to come in and do anything major for this city, i am talking a Major League Soccer team, or even something you mentioned, but sadly there isn't enough interest. This has been discussed a few times but Fort Worth albeit bigger than Cities like San Antonio and OKC, and even Kansas City. We will always be in the shadow of Dallas and for that reason money invested for anything cool or hip will always go east before it ever gets here.

What location in or near Downtown Fort Worth do you think would be good for such a tower that I suggested. Also, at 550 feet, the tower would be the tallest of it's kind and have a rotating cabin similar to the Brighton I360.

Panther Island, anywhere there. I've always thought something like the london eye would be cool too here in Fort Worth. Other than panther island, Sundance Square/Downtown Area.

Where in Downtown Fort Worth specifically would be a good location for an observation tower, such as one with a vertical moving platform? I suggested such a tower since The Colony now had it's own version of the London Eye.

again, its never going to happen. Even if you had the billions or hundred millions needed and the sway of a high profile political figure or tech giant, To get anything done in Fort Worth you need the approval of City Hall, Downtown Fort Worth Inc, which is basically all surrounding businesses, there's also a council that has to approve anything in downtown in relation to high rises, building a tall building is extremely complex and requires not only local but Federal requirements as well due to FAA regulations and laws.

you seem interested in this, I'd suggest another forum its call Fort Worth Architecture you will meet like minded people who would love to discuss this and even draw up and post 3D renderings or paintings and drawings of what "could be".

BUT to answer your question, it would have to be over by the UTA campus, by Malones Pub or if the city is still planning on tearing down the dome convention center then it could be built there.

A tower similar to the Brighton I360 with a rotating cabin by Malones Pub or UTA Fort Worth would raise property and land values, promoting new development in the area.

Seriously, a tower like the Brighton I360 would create a major tourist draw for Fort Worth like Reunion Tower didnfor Dallas for the Gateway Arch did for St.Louis.
