Why the devil is there going to be a new liquor store in the new residential area when they can just go down 4 miles to total wine or go to the gas stations nearby. This is why I call Euless "Useless". I thought for sure they wouldn't screw us over again like they did with not opening the new toll toad entrance for us. I am hating Euless more and more every year.

Guess im missing some context here. What kind of liquor store is it? A Specs? Bottom-shelf corner store? A high end store (IE Pogo's)? Strip mall? Stand-alone store?

I've never been to Euless but a liquor store by itself doesn't really mean anything to me. I prefer having them close by to re-stock the home bar for events and parties.

Some people seem to think the presence of a liquor store is the first step in an inevitable slide to the ghetto.

All I can say is

Highland Park = wet
Mesquite = dry

Let me know the address of the liquor store in highland park - I must have missed it.

OP, are you sure the liquor store is in Euless itself ? Not in some unincorporated area or in Ft. Worth ?

Um.
You should see the Spec's parking lot in WP on Friday and Saturday nights.
It's scary now.
I'm not happy we have that store here.

Once a town votes to go wet, it can’t restrict where liquor stores are located. (As long as they don’t conflict with the setback requirements from schools, churches, etc.) That’s why Grapevine fought so hard to keep liquor sales out. Unfortunately Euless fell for it, and now this is what happens. That being said, I shop at that Total Wine, and its pretty cool.

I'm way behind the times ... I remember when there were no liquor stores in the mid cities at all.

I wish we had a Pogo's in Fort Worth near us. We don't go to liquor stores often, but we were impressed when we went to Pogo's per the Dallas posters' recommendations.
