I am in the 76114 area (west of downtown, around the River District area), and I struggle to get even 1Mbps of download speed (at times) from my Charter Spectrum Internet connection. This has been a problem ever since the COVID-19 pandemic ramped up in mid-to-late March.

Does anyone else in the Fort Worth area, also using Charter Spectrum, have issues with extremely slow Internet speeds? I am so frustrated that I have filed a complaint with the FCC over this.

I gave up on them and moved to AT&T Fiber. Cable systems tend to be on a ring or group and the available bandwidth is shared between the group. Fiber is a lot faster and is significantly less likely to get bogged down. Your equipment and programs in memory can slow things down, visit Reddit Home Networking and DSL reports for some ideas and help on how to get better performance

We are getting a technician to come out next week, so hopefully that can resolve (at least some of) our speed problems at my location.
