Seems like Grand Prairie has a lot of new development along 161. I’m wondering if Grand Prairie is worth looking into for semi affordable houses and good schools? Anyone know good areas or neighborhoods with good schools? Not really familiar with GP, but seems like it has potential...

Do some research on the schools first. They are OK in the south part of GP, but they aren’t among the best in DFW.
