Verde Riverwalk looks like a nice rental property, convenient to Ft Worth for fiance and Irving for me for our jobs. Looking like the plan for now - can anyone give any insight to this complex? Thanks for your help!

actually that location is probably a 30 min drive or more each way into FTW (depending on where you are going) on daily basis--and after construction on 114 and 121 really gets started it will take even longer

it is just that many people in the area would not consider it "convenient" to FTW...would be fairly convenient to north Irving--no so much to south part--
the section on 635 might look short but have friend who lives in Bedford and works in Addison area--further north and east--he says that 635 is the pits to drive on either way in rush hour--
he uses Bush turnpike from 183 vs 635/121

that area is getting some retail/infrastructure--used to be just cow pastures--the Mall has shopping of course--downtown Grapevine has nice feel and some drs/dentists and there are restaurants in area--Baylor @ Grapevine hospital is close...

going to get some airplane noise from the DFW traffic at times--apt sits directly north of DFW--
know someone who lives a little further north in apt complex in Lewisville and she notices the plane noise at different times because the wind has to do with how the runways are used...

If you will be driving to both Fort Worth and Irving, look south along 183. Hurst, Euless and Bedford properties will be MUCH better for both commutes.

but those areas don't have new apts like the one the OP mentioned

I am not saying don't lease there--that area has some definitely positives
BUT the commute would not be one of them frankly...
so it is just a trade-off like all decisions...

Those apartments look really nice, but I think some of what loves2read said is correct. Getting from the Northeast side of Grapevine to Fort Worth is going to be a big pain for the next several years.

I would reccomend that you stay in Grapevine, but consider the south side where you don't have to go through 114.

Grapevine is the best town in the state of Texas. Even with the extra traffic.
