Saw on the weather channel how the recent freeze has caused a rash of burst pipes, which will cause a big mold problem. Another wrinkle in the plan to move to the Ft. Worth area from SoCal.

Not every home here had water damage. I’d dare say it would be far less did not than those that did. Make sure you get a home inspection and read your sellers disclosures.

OC >>> Fort Worth

Those state income tax savings aren't worth it.

Thats your opinion. For others, Fort Worth is better for them.

Considering YOU live in Seattle where the median home price of $791M is LITERALLY MORE THAN TWICE what it is in Dallas-Fort Worth of $316M, Texas is still a huge bargain.

Household income in Seattle is double that of Dallas too. Seattle property tax is 1% with no state income tax. Is Texas really such a huge bargain?

Seattle household income is $102k
Dallas household income is $52k

Not moving here because you think the winter storm caused mold problems is just as stupid as the people who question moving here shortly after a tornado.

Water damage creates a "big mold problem" if you don't immediately dry everything out.
