Hi All

I love the church I attend here in San Diego, Ca...Canyon View Christian I am so sad to leave it.
I am wondering if anyone would like to share where they attend. We are going to be living in the North West FW area.. currently we attend a non- denominational church that teaches the BIBLE only. We are a younger family in our late 20's and have kids that are very much involved in church as well.

Also I have a @ home business and I am looking to chat with others that have
their own based business. Also wondering how many of you have moved your business and continued it in your new home town.. Also wondering if there is a net working group that meets together too?

Thanks Lara

Hey Lara!

My wife and I are possibly moving too from San Diego. We attend Kaelo which is an amazing church. We left the Rock after 6 years because we felt lost there in the swarm of people. We are both very very sad to leave that church. We were happy to find that there were a few sister churches from the Acts 29 network in the DFW area. Here is a link: Acts 29 > Central Region (http://www.acts29network.org/mcms_page_home_central.php?nav=p-1156 - broken link)

We are coming out next week to visit Fort Worth side again and see if we are being called there. We will be checking out City View in Keller. I like the philosophy of Acts 29 churches. At our church, they believe in affecting the word through community. I love how they love us through the Gospel. This is the first place I have ever been where I can expose my sin and ask for help without feeling judged. The first place where I dont have to put on a perfect facade. We all are sinners and fallen short, so why must we hide that? Anyways, I am sad to leave Kaleo, but excited to check out the other churches in Texas.

I too run a business from my house. If I move out, maybe we can start a group I partly want to move because of the oppressive business laws in California. They are chasing us all away! My new startup was funded and we are getting close to launching our new internet service, so I might need to hire actual employees soon. But, I cant afford to do that in Cali.

My wife and I are low to mid 20's. We don't have kids, jsut a few dogs who are like our kids

There are a lot of non-denominatioal churches in the DFW area. It really depends where you settle down in the area. We live in Keller and went to a few of the churches in the area, Met Church Met Church - Keller, TX - Contemporary Weekend Worship , Gateway Church Gateway Church | gatewaypeople.com , Fellowship of the Parks Fellowship of the Parks | Live It Forward! There are many churches and I would advise shopping around. We checked out each churches websites, their philosophy, teaching, children's programs, etc.. We narrowed it down to 3 and visited them all a few times. The 3 churches we attended in SoCal while living in Irvine were all quite large and it was easy to get lost. We decided on Fellowship of the Parks because they are still small by the mega church standard and have a lot of opportunities to get involved if you want.

Good luck, I am sure that God will guide you to the church that fits your needs the most. Just do your homework and visit as many churches you can to get a feel.

Thank you.. Good luck in DFW. We looked into the Keller area and found it really nice.. A bit expensive for us. We were looking to buy a house and that is where we found an issue. The homes we were looking for we out of our price range.
We were really blessed to find Sendera Ranch. It's about 20 min from the military base. About 10 min from Keller. Beautiful homes and just the right price.. We have 3 kids and a huge dog.. He makes up the size of 2 more kids 120lbs..
Let us know if you move. My husband is a Marine and being stationed over there. We attended the Rock too. We felt the same way.. lost in the church. We found Canyon View Christian Church and I love it. I am hoping to find something like this.
I stay at home with our kids and wk from here too. Talk to you later. Lara
