You'll get to be a tourist here and see stuff we take for granted and rarely visit, such as the Stockyards, Water Gardens, Money Factory (BE&P), etc.

One of my friends from Austin was in town over the long weekend and we checked out a couple sites. He still likes Austin better.

Wow, thats an amazing project, sounds like Fort Worth is really starting to step out of Dallas's shadow.

.......... uh, yeah, I guess you can say it's a start. But when you think about the size of this city, Fort Worth is still behind on a few things.
Such as:
  • some kind of light rail system
  • a more developed skyline
  • an independent city airport (we have Meacham and Alliance, but they're no Love Field... but maybe that's not much of a need.....)
  • a bigger, more suitable arena (that tiny Convention Center arena is going down sooner or later...)
  • exposure
  • And most importantly, PRIDE. People in this city should start saying, "this is NOT Dallas and we're NOT apart of the "Dallas Area"!

When we cover all that, then you can kiss the Dallas shadow goodbye.

I really like this plan for Fort Worth! Reminds me of the Buffalo Bayou Master Plan in Houston, which has started.

Wow, the plans for this concept will make Fort Worth stand out against Dallas in a few years. Since the new TCC campus is going to be at RS...what will be going into the spot on across the river?

Take a guess....
At this point, that spot is open for anything.

I mentioned to a coworker who has lived in FW for a while (and now lives north of the city) that the downtown Radio Shack will become part of TCC. He was surprised, but pleased.

You're absolutely right. I *do* see Panther City residents and fans taking more pride lately, though. Although, Sundance Square on the weekends is starting to feel a little too much like just about any place in that small, unnamed city to the East- very trendy.

In general, there does seem to be some type of growing (but still too quiet) movement to celebrate Fort Worth for what it IS, not what some people want us to be.

Does anyone have any new information on this project and LaGrave Field? There were talking about knocking down LaGrave.

^^^ I heard about that. I'd be a shame because it would be an anchor in this development. And it's only about 6 years old. It's a nice park. I think they'll work around it.
