We are just looking to find a place in the DFW area that has famous or great pies and cobblers. Any recommendations? thank you!

oh darn it! There's a diner very near the hospitals in Ft. Worth...the name escapes me....great pies. I'll see if I can find it. Ohhh, now I want a chocolate pie!

Found it. Paris Coffee Shop @ 700 W. Magnolia. I don't know about "famous" though. Their breakfast is also good "down home style" fare. Lunch is pretty standard.

I can't remember the name at all...some place in South Dallas IIRC. We had them catered into our office once and wowie wow, they were good. I know this isn't too helpful, but maybe it will spark someone else's memory?

Mama's Daughter Diner on Irving Blvd. in Dallas has pies that are to DIE for!! You'd better get there early because they often sell out of the coconut cream and peanut butter ones!

Paris is good and the 7th st cafe used to have some pretty good ones too but that has been closed and don't think they have reopened
cobbler at blackeyed pea is not that bad if you are desparate for cobbler
