Hi -- I have a strange question but need help. A former co-worker committed suicide we were told at his home in Haslet. We were never able to find any death notice or obituary. Does anyone have any ideas as to how to get this death confirmed?

you could probably call the Haslet police--a call like that is on the police blotter and would be matter of public record--in my town the FTW paper posts notices of police calls/crimes weekly for towns in area--while suicide is not technically a crime--it is a suspicious death and police or sheriff's office would be called to the scene--there would have to be an inquiry/autopse since that is suspicious death

Death certificates are a matter of public record, aren't they? Have you called the courthouse? You may have to pay a fee to obtain a copy.
