I am interested in getting my real estate license. Can someone please tell me how to go about doing that? I live in Arlington and would like somewhere nearby for coursework or even something to complete online.

Thanks.

You need to go talk to an agency and have someone sponsor you to obtain your license.

You can find out about appropriate schooling at TREC - Home Page. There is a listing of both in class and online classes that are available.

Basically, you take your classes to pass your test for your license, but you need to have an accredited agency (Coldwell Banker, ReMax etc) to sponsor you before you actually get your license. They will "hire" you on for a period of time, have you take some of their classes (mostly sales and marketing) and then pay you a percentage scale on properties that you sell and/or list.

Im not an agent, but have done a lot of due dilligence to come to find out right at the moment that right now is just not my time to commit to it.

Check out DFW Academy. That is where I took all my courses and then got sponsered by Coldwell Banker. Trec.com will also tell you how to do it all.

My husband found an online training program that was approved by TREC. It was relatively cheap too, and he passed on the 1st try.
