Are there any Newcomer Groups to help familiarization new residents with the area? Specifically NRH, Keller, and Grapevine. Some of the posts talked about difficulty in meeting people - - Texans are notorious for being friendly and super helpful! This website is an example of such help. What's the scoop? Where do single, older (over 50) people go to meet each other?

TCC (http://www.tccd.edu/neutral/divisiondepartmentpage.asp?pagekey=599 - broken link) has a great selection of classes for Srs. I'm sure you'd meet lots of people there and they have stuff to interest almost everyone.

You might check a nearby church...I know a lot of people meet others that way, and there are often singles groups. Of course there is always googling.
