-are those townhomes any good
-how about the crime scene
-will i be making a mistake buy buying the townhome

You do not want to buy a home or a town home from Portrait Homes. They just recently pulled out of a community in Little River, SC. The bank foreclosed on the unsold property and we are now left with no HOA, no warranty. They are in really bad financial shape

I dont think it is so bad in Dallas-Fort Worth. They are still opening new communities. Now i have never sold one but just seeing the growth. All of builders in all areas are hurting right now.

Thumbs down Dear Sinatra

I lived in the Portrait townhomes in Bedford, Tx. I do not recommend them. The HOA demands that NO ONE put anything on their porch or in their very tiny garden area that symbolizes colleges (school flags, crests or anything of that sort) and you can not put in any decorations whatsoever, not even a padded seat cushion on a chair. I feel that is absolutely ludicrous. As far as crime, it is fairly good because police patrol the area but there were cases of cars with bashed in windows that parked along the main drive. It happened during the night. I would think if they put in a gate it would help. The pool is very small and there was a new subdivision built on Bedford Dr. with no pool at all yet those folks were made to pay the same HOA dues.
