Has anyone attended this play in Glen Rose? I understand is quite nice, about the life of Jesus.

Would appreciate any comments, also, is it typical of most productions like this, overcrowded, spend more time in the parking lot than the show, concession charges $8 for a coke, lines a mile long at the bathrooms?Perhaps I'll just purchase the DVD instead!

Would like to hear from anyone who has been there, was it a positive experience? Would kids about 10-12 enjoy it or find it too long--I understand its about 3 hours.

You know, on second thought, maybe we will skip it this year. I understand its a musical, musicals iritate me, I walked out on Evita, couldn't stand all that singing!

I will get the DVD first, see if its even anything to my liking.

Talking The Promise - Definitely Worth The Trip

I have been to see The Promise many times and LOVE the experience! Parking is free, and the show is not your regular "musical" type show that stops for dance numbers and solos... The atmosphere is amazing, above you is nothing but stars, and when the lights come on the stage, you are transported into another time and place. I would highly recommed you take the time this year to see it! I am sure you will be glad you did~
I think it was about two hours, there was an intermission between acts, it was crowded, but not unbearably so, and my kids ages 6 & 8 are happy to sit through it. There was a huge youth group there the last time I went and they seemed very enthusiastic! I hope this helps!!
