Hold on i will do a search and tell you what i come up with.

I came up with 49 homes in the North area, keller, bedford (North), southlake, hurst(NOrth) NRH and other areas north. I didnt do Haslet

These where all under 180k and had at least .25 of an area.

When you break down the search to 4 bedrooms and at least 2400 sq feet, it brings it down to 4 homes for sale

11084301 7007 Hovenkamp AVE
11051194 3501 London LN
10978299 6217 Price DR
11005419 115 Corral DR

All older homes, only one or two of them look to be in good shape

Okay after much research, I have decided Keller is probably where we will live but, b/c we already have a mortgage with a home that is not selling we will rent for 1 year. Hopefully in a year we can adjust the price and sell quickly. We should have saved enough up, we can already qualify for a Va mortgage b/c we have not used all of our benefits but what we can afford and what I want are 2 different things therefore we will wait. I also spoke w/ the hockey coach at Grapevine, I think, I do have his name he asked me if my son was good ha ha, what mom could answer that but he did tell me the position that he plays he is need and he would evaluate him early if need be, we will move late spring and that is when their try outs are for the travel team. Does anyone have a child 4/5th grade in any keller schools and can tell me anything? Thanks for all your information.

most of the elementary schools are excellent K-4. Willis Lane, Shady grove, Keller-Harvel,Blue bonnet, Hidden lakes etc..

The intermediate schools 5-6 can be overwhelming if you are comming from an area with smaller schools etc... I give the edge to Bear Creek over South Keller (SKI) where my daughter goes. I feel the admin at Bear Creek is a little bit more nurturing etc... My daughter is now in 6th grade and we are having a much better year, more communication with teachers etc..(maybe it's because we are no longer "new" etc...) She has more seasoned teachers and i feel they are a good fit, I feel like last year she was just thrown in with the group that had opening because no-one knew them etc...

I really like the way the schools are split with 5-6 grade being together and then Midlle school being only 7-8th.

Here is the website...Keller ISD - Home

here's the TEA ranking of keller schools for 2008... Keller ISD - Performance Reports (http://www.kellerisd.net/kellerisd/index.php?option=com_content&task=view&id=226&Item id=401 - broken link)

Overall..I give the school district a solid 8, there are areas that need improvement etc, but overall I have been pleased with the education. I have kids in Elem, Intmed and HS.

If you want 1/2 acre, haslet has some good to offer. Will be about 230k though. With escrow you would be looking around 1900.
