I am considering buying a home in Mansfield National subdivision and noticed train tracks that run down the third hole of the golf course and through the backside of the subdivision. Can anyone provide me any info? How often does the train pass? Does it shake the neighborhood?

Default Trains are loud

We live about near Mansfield National Golf course and for about the first 3-4 months of living here (we moved from California 4 years ago), the train kept us up at night. You do eventually get used to it but my husband and I marvel that people would want to live so close to the tracks. The trains blow their whistles at all major intersections and most travel at night. This is a heavy corridor for train travel as Fort Worth is a major switching station.

Mansfield is a great community to live in; excellent school system, lots of new retail cropping up, the water park (Hawaiian Falls) opened this last summer next to Big League Dreams (replicas of national ballparks where they run little league and adult league baseball games).

If you want to live on or near a gold course, look at Walnut Creek Golf area- nice homes, great CC and quieter.
best of luck!
