Many truck jobs to choose from...
The title of his post is 'brother is thinking about becoming a trucker'...which means his brother doesn't have a cdl yet...and so in order for someone to further assist, they have to share a bit more info....
If someone doesnt know what their getting into...questions can help to paint a picture for them.
It's like saying you want to be a lawyer, without first passing the bar exam...
So i'm trying to get a feel of where there going with this...
Although not all trucking jobs require a cdl...only trucks that operate with air brakes...and a certain weight...
Do they like want to drive Wonder bread delivery trucks or UPS delivery trucks?
Or do they want to drive 18-wheeler rigs?
Or do they want to drive courier vans...
Or expidited freight type of trucks..like with Panther?
Or do they want to drive a fire truck?
Theres all kinds of trucks and classes of trucks to choose from...

bty if your brother can manage it, try to find an in state driving job. Over the road can be brutal at times esp. if he has a family.

Quite a few large department stores and grocery chains, have their own fleet of trucks...like Winn-Dixe or Publix or Wal-Mart or Target and many more...

He is looking at whatever pays the most....he does not have his cdl yet....he is willing to hire on at a trucking company that will send him to school. He is over 25(35). He, as did I hear that hauling cars and fuel may pay the most. Also, are there any companies he should avoid(as in bad companies)? So if hauling doubles or ?? pay the most, that is what he is willing to do....He has a wife but no kids and she travels alot already with her job...thanks for your help....
