Fort Worth Unveils New Slogan (http://www.myfoxdfw.com/myfox/pages/Home/Detail?contentId=8056656&version=1&locale=EN-US&layoutCode=VSTY&pageId=1.1.1 - broken link): "You get it when you get here."

What do you think of FW's new slogan and no longer officially being referred to as "Cowtown"?

Whatever "it" is, you'll get it when you get here.

It's a paradoxical slogan. I guess it's supposed to make you think hard until your head hurts and then just go back to referring to FW as "Cowtown".

You get it when you get here

Ahhh... sounds like the real cowboys of old. Tough, rough and ready.

Welcome to Texas, ma'am

That could mean either STDs or be construed as a lure for welfare recipients...

I'm kind of on the fence with this one. Maybe it will grow on me.

I will see what happens when we finally move there. All we need is for this house to sell and we are there. We can't wait to "get it".

The new slogan is for the downtown area - sponsored by a downtown advocacy group. I don't think the "Cowtown" moniker is officially dead, nor will it go away soon...

I can see it.....it's just too hard to describe the feel of Fort Worth, the emotions it brings, so....you'll understand what it means to be in Fort Worth once you actually get here and experience it for yourself.

You get it when you get here.

Makes sense to me. But then again, I'm native. haha

Maybe FW should've called it, "You'll git 'er done when you git here!"

LOL, perhaps Las Vegas should also adopt this slogan.
