the negotiated price. Our organization is dealing with Titan Cathey group and one of the neighborhood people said at the signing session that while some other companies had either reduced their bonus offerings or were not following through with the negotiated leasing, this one was honoring the agreement they had made....

we took the demand draft to the bank and they took it to turn over to collections dept Monday...so it will take more than 45 days to get the check but at least it will be for decent amount...

our group negotiated 27K per acre bonus and I think a 26 or 27% royalty...

the people sitting next to us said that one of the well sites was going to be on the Hall farm on Hall-Johnson Rd and Pool in Colleyville---their daughter is married to guy who owns it--part of the original family-- and they have had difficult time paying ever increasing property taxes--so for them getting the full amount of bonus instead of reduced was really significant

Yall did really good. My Fishing (Tournament Partner) buddy just got the same thing out in Burleson. He has 5 acres.

If anyone comes across any land that has mineral rights please foward the info to me. I have a client wanting to buy land to retire on. I dont think the price matters

email from the HOA organization that did the negotiation for the lease received this morning--apparently the company is suspending lease negotiations at this time--says they will honor ALL leases signed up to now which includes ours from Saturday...
will have to see how it pans out...
but think there probably were people from our neighborhood that did not come Saturday on their signing day...

they can't drill--but with natural gas this low and what may be a slowing economy and the possibility of imported liquid ng from Canada coming in they may decide that now is not the right time to start up their company...
like buying stocks--you don't want to buy when they were high but when they are low...

Sonofabitch! My signing session was scheduled for next week, so looks like mom won't be having that operation.

So does that mean those who were lucky enough to have their signing session already, get to keep the signing bonus?

I imagine that in order to drill, they'll still need signatures from everyone else...but it'll be after they renegotiate the bonus and royalties to peanuts.

Chesapeake backed out of the deal that would have paid us 20k per acre, and 30% royalties, at the last minute - literally days before the checks were to be issued.

Synopsis--because of where your house is, would your leasing group have also included the development by Hurst Softball Complex?

article in today's FTW paper about the Colleyville town council being able to get lease/money for city's acreage but the company froze out the homeowners....city council meeting had some angry people...city said that their offer was take it or leave it for one time only offer...they did not have lots of options...that was Titan/Caffey leasing--same company that did ours...they probably wanted to tie up the well sites since the city has more open acreage than probably most of the homeowners...even if they don't lease the other acres anyone who wants to later on will have to come to them and make a deal since they have the bigger parcels...
