reasonable as in cost of different airlines
reasonable as in ease for pets/owners since some airlines might be better than others
reasonable as in other options besides air transport

I flew one dog from Virginia to Pensacola, FL and it was over $300. It's just as costly as buying a ticket. You have to have the certified by a vet within a few days of departure, up to date on Rabies, and provide AIRLINE approved crates. The animals head cannot touch the top of the crate. So basically, depending on size, weight, amount of animals...will all depend on the cost. Best to call a few airlines and get a quote. Most have base fee of $150. That is by no means the final cost, lots of extras go into it!!!! You have to book on the phone anyways, so might as well just call.
