What is the current going rate for Barnett Shale acreage, assuming that anyone is still actively leasing?

I don't think anyone is leasing in FTW area--maybe further west...

he was almost destroyed as well--at least seriously depleated

and the damage he did in the past 18 mo -- some companies are probably pretty overextented with what they paid for large leases...now market is down and there is really no way to cover that bet...
