I need a place to keep two lost (probably abandoned) dogs until the owner or a new home can be found. They are male black and white English or German pointers, 8-10 months old, 40-45 lbs. They need room to run. They are very sweet, smart, healthy dogs. Please help! Time is running out!

have you tried to locate any rescue groups specific to that breed?? would be your most likely best bet to save their lives.......

i would start by googling something like german shorthaired pointer rescue groups or maybe just pointer rescue groups......

good luck.... one of my neighbors has a couple of these dogs and they are GREAT .........

Thanks for your input. It seems so many of the rescue groups have all the dogs they can handle. I was amazed at the number of pointer-type dogs out there, in foster care, waiting to be adopted when I looked at the web sites.

You are right about these dogs being great. I would keep them myself if I could, but they need room to run. Thanks again for the response.

Try SPCA of Texas or Operation Kindness in Carrollton.
