My son is going to Cook's Childrens Hospital tomorrow (12-23-08), we are stationed at Fort Sill Oklahoma. I was just wondering if anyone has ever used this hospital, if so where are some close places to eat and what is your opinion of the hospital. My son is going to the G.I. Clinic there...thanks for any info.

Wink Cook Childrens is Wonderful!

My children all have gone to Cook Childrens for various things and my twins used their GI Clinic when they were younger. My oldest has used the cardiology clinic and my youngest has used the urology clinic. All of the staff is very professional and show great compassion to both the parents and children. They make the children super comfortable and have child life specialist that come in and explain everything to the children on their level. I think you will be very pleased.

He, his mother and his doctor were on TV the other morning. He is now home in time for the holidays. Such a miracle.

I had to take my daughter to Cook's. I like the hospital and staff. There are plenty of eating places in the area as I'm sure you already found out.

Good luck to your son.

This is a little late, but for GREAT food go to Massey's. They have the best chicken fried steak I've ever eaten.

my daughter was in there when she was 2 mo. old. she had something that they said most babies that go in there with it usually isn't breathing on their own, but she was. also, i was very close to losing her because of other drs., but thanks to them i still have my beautiful daughter after almost 14 yrs. but they did a majorly good job on her. she was in there for a week. they have places all around there to eat and places where you can get a motel. the hospital is very clean and has a beautiful outside. oh also, all the drs. and nurses are very nice and helpful.
