Looking for inexpensive and safe area(s) in forth worth to own a house?

Condo and Townhouse is an option as long as it is safe.

Any good areas?

I've lived in Hurst for 10 years and not once have we had even a hint of vandalism or crime in our neighborhood. Hurst is a suburb of FW, 10 minutes from downtown.

The area in which I live is rather inexpensive, but that's all relative. Our home is valued at 150K.

Once I left the garage door open all day accidentally. When I returned home that evening, nothing was touched.

We have gone off and left our garage door open for a day with the door to house unlocked--nothing taken...
we have had the front door blow open when I was out walking the dog and nothing has happened...
our neighborhood is in Bedford but it also is what I consider very, very safe...

there are some areas that have more persistant type of low-level crime--car breakins--burglary--sometimes a fight--but those seem areas around apartments...

check crime maps to see where high levels are--in general in FTW they are to the SE of downtown and the north of downtown FTW but there are unsavory pockets probably in ALL parts of FTW/Mid-Cities depending on where you are...
