Is this just an Arlington/East Fort Worth thing or what? I'm sorry but this place has the most ridiculous drivers I have EVER seen in my entire life! I thought Miami and New Yorker drivers were crazy...

Well the difference is the above drivers tend to be more aggressive, but know how to control the wheel! The drivers here are just clumsy a**, drunk a*s ****s who dont need to be behind a wheel! I thought I'd blame it on the icey weather and give em benefit of the doubt...but icy weather seems to be the safest time, when the dumbos who definently cant drive arent out!

Case in point, I've lived in my apartment complex for about 8 months. Its not the usual 20 square mile ones in arlington, it has about 50 total units. Thats small. Now get this, listen to this...I Have witnessed 5 totalled cars in random parking spaces, one in which involved a family member last week AND another one just today! Makes my stomach churn. This place should have taken all the money for construction and stupid ass cameras to provide a mandatory drivers ed class for all these A class morons!

Agreed. Women shouldn't be allowed to drive.

I have to agree I come from NYC and although New Yorkers are agressive when driving they do tend to have more control especially when driving in snowy conditions. Since I moved down here in June 08 I have seen more accident in Fort Worth than I have see the entired 22 years I lived in NYC. I think NY got even safer when they ban talking on phones while driving and I see this all the time here, I myself do not talk on the phone while driving because I have to worry about the idiot around me when they are driving while dialing/talking on the phone.

With the economy crashing, I imagine many people who get into accidents are using the insurance money to pay bills rather than fix their car.

It's 1/5 as bad as Chicago. At worst.

Or perhaps it's all the yankee doodles or move down here and clog our roads... I've lived in Fort Worth all my life - have never gotten in a wreck, been apart of one, or witnessed casualties on the roadside like I did while visiting Chicago. The bus drivers up north are also all crazy, if they drove like that here we'd have a new wreck to deal with every ten minutes. As far as seeing dents in cars, perhaps it is because when something happens to our auto's we realize it's just a car and go about our day; A to B, that's what it's for.

Usually when you're a good driver with good driving habits you tend not to get into accidents. In NYC we have to worry too much about scams due to accident to get into accidents. I seen many people here who don't speed up when getting on the highway some even slow down and thats 9 out of 10 people I see some don't even put blinkers on. I seen 5 lane highway in Dallas clogged because people on the far left lane realized that they need to get off on the next exit with 1/4 miles left to go or less for their exit. thats just poor driving habits I actually can't wait till they ban driving with handled phones on, I think this would help all drivers.

Look again I'll bet alot of those damaged cars never had insurance at all! Have you seen the price for a teenager to drive? These kids will wreck a car within the first 6 mo. of driving, park it at a friends apartment because it has no insurance or legal tags. If its towed away from the apartments the apartment managment pays for it. The kids save the towing and storing fees and hassle. The stereo equipment is stripped and the car is tossed like garbbage to the curb (of your apartment)!
