Hello,
I will be working the next year at JPS hospital in Ft. Worth. I'm looking for advice on where to find a rent house or apartment. Will only be in Ft Worth a year so don't want to buy. My criteria are someplace safe, convenient to shopping and entertainment, within 10miles or 20min of JPS (1500 S Main), and affordable (1,000/mo or less). No kids, so I don't care about schools. Would prefer an area with other young professionals too. Thanks in advance for any advice.

you might find something in one of the condos in Sundance Sq area of downtown FTW--safe downtown for most part, close to your work, don't know about pets though if you have them...lots of restaurants/entertainment there
young professionals, older retired people are buying/renting there

Hulen area around Bryant Irwin S of JPS is about 20 min drive--

we live in Hurst--east of FTW off 183 and it takes my husband about 15-20 min to get into downtown each morning...so you could be in mid-cities area to east --house would be more than 1K probably but Bedford area has several apts that would probably work...

Default Mistletoe Heights/Berkeley/TCU

The place to live that is maybe 5 miles from JPS is my neighborhood.
We're so convenient to everything! Actually, look up the area and neighborhoods I posted above. Here is the link to the Mistletoe Heights Neighborhood Association - www.mistletoeheights.com

In the classifieds there is a garage apt. for rent and Jeri Jo has been my accountant for several years now. Super nice lady!

Also, there is a 2 - bdrm townhouse on the corner of Forest Park Blvd. and Irwin (or Edwin) for lease. They are very nice! You get a garage, nicely landscaped, washer and dryer, pool, etc. for $795. This particular property very rarely has vacancies and when they do they fill up quickly.

There are several other properties - homes, apts., townhomes, etc. around here and TCU that fit your budget.

Please feel free to contact me if you have any other questions or want to know more about what is available around here. I'm not a realtor but my daughter is a TCU student so I have looked at EVERYTHING in the vicinity of TCU. My information is: redhawk_eagle@yahoo.com

Good luck!
