...from New York City. I'm originally from Houston, and have been up here since August for work. Well, I can't stand it up here anymore, and am actually headed to a very promising job interview in Forth Worth this Monday. My fiancee transferred from Dallas to be here with me, and she's also very hopeful for me. If I'm fortunate enough for the opportunity to work out, then she's going to transfer back to the Dallas office. Any suggestions on the best places to live for us in this situation? We'd like to rent a house first because we have a lab (and we're just tired of apartments after the year we've spent in this crackerjack box). Southlake? Keller? Colleyville? Trophy Club? Anyone know anything about these areas, along with any others? Also, while I've spent a decent amount of time in the DFW area over the years, I haven't spent enough to where I don't have to ask this question: how is the humidity compared to Houston? Obviously, Houston is more humid. But will I be able to notice the difference? Any and all help is appreciated. I love the time I've spent in Fort Worth over the years, albeit limited, and really think that it just might be the perfect town for me. Thanks a lot, guys.

DFW can get very humid--check out weather listings

what is your price range--that is major point in renting/buying ahouse
getting into downtown FTW and Dallas would mean being half way--Euless, Grapevine, Bedford--north Irving or maybe north Arlington---are about half way
you can run search for those towns or any you see on the map and get hits on this or Dallas forum...

Appreciate the response, loves2read. I think we're looking at spending no more than about $1500 a month, give or take, on rent. Would prefer 2-3 bedrooms and a decent-to-good-sized yard for the dog (as I said, houses only). Are there any locator services that you (or anyone) can recommend that we might be able to use should I be fortunate enough for the job opportunity to work out?
