I have searched to find answers about specific zip codes in Fort Worth and whether housing is safe there and got stumped.

I am looking to buy my first house and have seen some houses in the 76120 area code that interest me. I don't know much about Fort Worth. I'm single and am concerned about safety. Is this a safe area? People ask about where to live, i'm curious about where to avoid? I work in Arlington and was considering areas in East Fort Worth particularly around 30 or I20

Great website for crime tracking! However, I'm not showing anything past September either. Surely over the Holidays there were thefts and burglaries. My area shows to be quite safe, btw.

It may not have shown up when you all checked last, but the police dept. has a message on there if you click on it again. It says they are no longer reporting daily incidents and they hope to have that corrected soon.

They are running crime stories farther down the screen. Oh, my~they're scary.

Default living in 76120

I purchased a home in 76120 last year. couldnt ask for better neighbors, warm and friendly. everyone keeps up their home, mows lawn etc. Family area. BUT- our back door was kicked in in Dec 08 and we were burglarized by scumbags. The cops were indifferent and said well you have insurance.
Big deal. So I dont know what to tell you about the area- beware and get an alarm and a gun. we have both now, too bad I have to go to such measures.
Very accessible to 30 and arlington, couple miles from the walmart on eastchase. Affordable homes built in either early 90's or late 80's. get alot of bang for your buck but at what price? I am hoping that the area is ok after all good luck

I lived in far west Fort Worth back in the 1980's and it was a nice area. I also lived in Arlington, Texas and that was not as safe. I did alot of running on the Trinity Jogging Trail back in those days.

Try looking at www.crimemapping.com , you can change your date ranges and get a feel for what has happened so far this year. Hope this helps. I have lived here for 28 years and love it. And look at Fort Worth's official website. www.fortworthgov.org Good luck
