Geez, I bet that we've gotten 3 inches of rain in the last 24 hours here in Hurst. These storms keep firing up over Northeastern Tarrant county and are relentless.
I'm all for the rain, but I'm seeing trees fall over because the ground is so saturated.
All this when most of Texas is under a sever drought..

Yup, and it was a verrrrrrrry long night.....my 6 yr old in the bed with us with none of us sleeping for long stretches. <yawn>

Sorry to hear that. Since I typed that last message I think we received almost another inch of rain in a huge downpour.
It's weird. The whole state of Texas is dry, except for this small portion of the state where these storms keep firing and refiring over the same area.

I know...even my son, as I tried to tuck him in his bed for the night at 11:30 last night when it seemed we'd be getting a break that might be long enough for him to fall asleep, says...but another storm might just 'pop up'. He was right. All. night. long. And so far all morning long. haha

just talked to my daughter, she sent pictures of the tree limb in her front yard that is now part of the grass. She said last night was just short of HELL> We had a pretty rough time Tues night here,but nothing like you guys. The positive thing about all this: the worst of the tornado and rain season will be over in a week or so.

I have limbs all over my front lawn as well Nita. Thankfully, the rain has stopped for now. Let the dry season begin.
