Just heard that there was another earthquake in Cleburne today. What is the deal? Wasn't there one there a couple of weeks ago when one hit Irving?

Here is the article:

Could Barnett Shale drilling be cause for quakes? | WFAA.com | Local News: TV (http://www.wfaa.com/sharedcontent/dws/news/localnews/tv/stories/wfaa090608_ac_cleburne.5dfc2337.html - broken link)

There were two more yesterday evening. I just heard on the radio that the city of Cleburne is hiring a geologist to figure out what's up.

One hit Arlington a couple of weeks ago and there about 2 in Grand Prairie earlier this year. What's up with all the earthquakes in Texas?!?

Yes, I heard that, too, Synopsis, that they're hiring a geologist. Some people think maybe it's all the gas drilling going on but others don't think so. Whatever it is, they are willing to pay experts to find out!

When you have governmental entities everywhere strapped by the lingering effects of the recession, why hire a geologist? Surely there's a PhD student at UT-Austin who'd love the experience for their dissertation. Either that or ask the USGS to send someone to investigate.

DFW is where the next world's rift valley is. Seriously. that is pretty scary that this continues to happen. Drill or no drill.

maybe if we're lucky, the quakes will bring down the tax office with all the big-gov, tax-n-spend folks inside.
