Ya, it's supposed to get up to 93 on Sunday. I suppose we're in a bit of an upswing now. However, I still remember 1998 when the high didn't ever dip below 95 degrees until October the 10th. Yesterday wasn't too bad, it was actually quite nice. Sunday will be kinda hot but nothing extreme.

Short-lived, as usual, or not lived at all. October is the month for the true cool-downs that will last, but they probably won't occur until late in the month. I just love the dew points. NOT!!

Yes, I also had to turn on the A/C yesterday. The temps. will be back in the 90s for the next several days. But it's still not triple digits.

Hi there! I am brand-spankin' new to this forum and I was wondering....We are seriously considering moving to the Stephenville area in Spring of '08, and have heard that you get alot of tornados and flooding.
I am a registered nurse and my boyfriend is an instructor for the CDL program at our local community college here in NM. I have a 7 year old son. We are looking for a smaller town that is "horse-oriented" as we both love to ride. I barrel race (ok, I admit, at this point the barrels are winning the race) and my boyfriend and I both want to get into team penning (he's done it before, I haven't). We hear fantastic things about Stephenville being what we are looking for. Your realestate is ALOT more reasonable than here in NW NM, you seem to have plenty of horse action, and the town itself is small enough to not overwhelm us country hicks. But......what about this severe weather we keep hearing about? I read a post from April of this year from RDW246, who said that Stephenville seems to miss the bad weather. Please tell me what we can expect.
Someone in another post mentioned that NM didn't really "sing" to them. Guess what? I was born and raised here and it doesn't sing to me either. But TX does.
Thanks so much in advance for any input you can give.

Thanks Synopsis,

I have grown kids and grandchildren living in Min.Wells, Granbury and Ft.Worth, I was not aware that the weather is suppose to be bad! I have two step daughters who have MS, and are wheelchair bound, so I will call them and warn them both.

Thanks again!

texasangelwings,

No need to fret. The post from Synopsis about the bad weather was from a post in April. All is well right now and will even be better when Autumn is upon us.

Too much dry weather. Watering my grass is making me poor. Bring back the severe weather!

OK, I'll take that compromise.

They had a high in OkC yesterday of 64 degrees, while it was 90 here. I wonder when we are going to get some of that cooler weather?
