Hi, I'm currently living in Mckinney and my job is in Midlothian, so I need to move to a closer place to Midlothian, I was thinking that Fort Worth will be a good choice since is just a 30 minutes drive from FW to Midlothian, what place do you people recommend with a good ISD near FW?

thanks

it is more about what you can afford...are you renting--do you plan on buying?

you would be in south/SE part of Tarrant county I guess and frankly the ISDs in that area are not what I would call the best choices in the county...northeast is stronger...

Mansfield, Arlington, Burleson, FTW ISD...except the SE part of FTW ISD is not where you would want to be so that would mean going to inside the 820 loop--Paschal HS zone--
would not recommend Crowley ISD--having some significant budget issues currently

I would recommend Mansfield ISD. Parts of S. Arlington & S. Grand Prairie feed into Mansfield ISD. What price range and mthly pymts are you looking to stay within??

Default Compare ALedo ISD vs, Fort Worth Middle and High schools

Can anyone tell me about schools of choice programs in FWISD and compare them to Aledo ISD? I see more cool electives and specialized school programs in FWISD than in McAnelly or Aledo MS in Aledo. I really liked Stripling and the 8th grade academy. It will feed into TABS that will have dual credit classes for up to 60 college credits as is affiliated with UNT. I also see that there are not a lot of elective choices in Aledo ISD for either Middle School. Seems like sports are the big focus in Aledo. My impression is that there is not a lot of experienced programs or choices in Aledo but the TAKS ratings are good since most kids come from educated parents and there are few minorities or disadvantaged kids. Please correct me if I am wrong? I will look at neighborhoods around TCU vs. Aledo school district.

Midlothian is not close to Aledo--or FTW for that matter
the poster who started up a dead thread should have just posted something for herself--not reactivate
