My husband and I are coming to Weatherford mid July to interview for a job. We are staying on Alford Drive. We are bringing our 2 small children with us. What resturants are near by. I know there is an Applebees and Chilis, but what are good LOCAL places? We are trying to get a feel for the town, as this is his final interview with them, so we also will be looking at houses (to rent). THanks!

Have breakfast at the Downtown Cafe, on the square! Great atmosphere, great food, and their lunch is terrific, too. For dinner, try Mesquite Pit for incredible steaks, they are on the Ft. Worth Hwy (180). And then there is the Malt Shop, also on the Ft. Worth Hwy -- great burgers and shakes made with homemade ice cream -- don't judge it by its tired appearance!!

Mmm.......
