It looks like Keller has a lot going for it. On paper it's very nice. It's also a nice place to visit. I'm sure that it's great for kids (our pediatrician and family doctors are there). Neither Keller nor Mansfield, however, represents a sweet spot for people who frequent the airport or have to work in Dallas, Ft. Worth or Arlington.

I tried very hard to fall in love w/ Mansfield and gave the Keller ISD my best effort (while shopping homes in the northermost tier of NRH). In the end - as I have said before - those areas are just too far out for my comfort. 820 and 360 are very strong disincentives.

I'm sure those who live in Keller are very satisfied..., expecially those east of 377 (if this forum is any indication ).

Keller is very convienient to DFW airport. In morning traffic 114 bottlenecks at Grapevine, but it still takes about 30minutes. Without traffic it's 20minutes.
1709 isn't so bad in Keller, it really backup in Southlake near the Townsquare and 114. I usually take Pearson to Dove to 114 (or Whites Chapel) to avoid the Towncenter and 1709.

Downtown Dallas?...yes no way that would be a horrid commute.

But downtown Ft Worth isn't that bad, not the greatest but still not overly bad.

hmmm I don't know that I would retire in Keller. The property taxes are on the high end and since I assume you wouldn't have any young kids to go to the school district maybe other parts of the country with a lower tax rate would be a better fit?
