I have recently moved to the Ft. Worth area. I have a family with 7 kids and we are looking at acreage homes in Willow Park and Weatherford.

Can anyone give me a ball park figure for what property taxes will be on a $200K home in those areas?

I have tried to figure it out online but I am confused and I have gotten conflicting reports from realtors.

Thanks,

New Texan

you can check out the county tax appraisal office on line and using the address of any homes you are interested in should be able to check the valuation and tax rate---
mineral values can cause land to be more highly valued if there is production but not just because land is under lease

remember that you may own property but not the mineral rights and people would have the right to drill for oil/gas within railroad commission/county regulations and you couldn't stop them...

The tax rate for Weatherford is 2.41 and for Willow Park 2.45.

Go to parkercad.org, then select Parker County. You can search properties by address, owner name, subdivision, etc.
