What is this place like? Does anyone live here and can tell me about it. (We have seen a home N. Alvarado)

I have read a few links on here that shows it as being negative and drug infested.

I am not worried about the school district.

Thoughts anyone?

Alvarado is only a few minutes from where I live and I go there all the time. I don't see the drug infestation and the negativity. To me, it looks like a bunch of middle class and poor folks trying to get by.

Alvarado is located on I-35W and has all the fast food and a few good working man type restaurants. Try Chano's for some great mexican food. The city has most businesses you might need and Burleson is about 10 minutes away if you need more.

The police and fire departments seem to be first rate but I really haven't concerned myself with them. I do not read about small town in fighting.

Home prices are very reasonable. Probably because it is 45 min drive to downtown Fort Worth, if traffic is cooperating.

I think Alvarado is a nice little town. However I would probably choose Burleson as my place to live. The home prices are about the same and the city has more of everything.

My 2 cents.
