Am moving in two weeks and don't have time for a garage sale but have alot of stuff to get rid of. In other states I've lived in there have been people that do garage sales "for a living". They would purchase all of your items at a discounted "garage sale" price and then turn around and sell them at their sales. Anything like that locally?

have not heard about that--
my husband's sister in Victoria had friend who sold her home to move to FLowerMound to be by her daughter and grandchildren--she had two women come into her home after she separated out what she was moving/keeping and they priced everything she was getting rid of--anything that was too tacky or whatever to sell, they set aside and anything that did not sell they added to that pile and gave to Good Will
they split the money with the lady 50/50 I think and she got the Good Will deduction...
she was pretty happy because she did not do any of the work

I wanted someone to do that for us when we were moving from one house to another in Mid-Cities area last year but did not find anyone...finally wound up paying to have lots of stuff hauled away--but they cleaned out the attics when they were doing it...
