We are looking at the neighborhoods around Mistletoe Heights/TCU/Forest Park to rent or buy (also checking out keller, but let's focus here for a minute). Drove the area at 8pm last night and it looked pretty quiet and safe. Commute is very close for my husband, so we want to give this some serious consideration.

1. Is there a public pool option close by?
2. Are there reasonably priced gym/pool private options?
3. Anyone have experience with the sports leagues in the area? (my kids currently enjoy basketball, volleyball and martial arts)
4. Any great parks, bike paths, etc. I should factor in to the equation?

Any other info or scoop you might have is welcome! Thanks.

Yes, there is a public pool on the south end of Park Place, just Southeast of the Zoo. Although, I think it may have been temporarily closed last year due to City of FW budget cuts. You would be very near Forest Park and the Trinity Trails (miles of walk/run/bike paths along the river), which is one of my favorite things about living in FW.

I don't know of any public pools but the only private one I know of in that area would be at the Colonial Country Club but you have to be a member I am pretty sure. There is a 24 Hour Fitness gym on Hulen, not too far. Ditto, Trinity Trails is great for biking, walking, etc.
