Im looking to be close to the city but with a small town feel, a small town that has its own character and sense of community and that isnt just houses. Is there a place like this around the west side of Ft. Worth? It could be a smaller town or just part of Ft Worth that feels like a smaller town.

How is the west side of Ft Worth as in crime? Is it known to be a decent part of town?

thanks for any answers

Check out the Cultural District. Lots of character, near everything. Downtown, the new West 7th entertainment district , TCU, museums (of course).

Welcome to the City of Fort Worth, Texas

I wouldn't say Burleson has the small town feel really. First off, when going down I-35W from Fort Worth to Burleson, you never leave the city as it all runs together. Second, Burleson has a lot of traffic itself and traffic heading into Fort Worth can be very heavy as people from as far south as Alvarado make that commute.
