No where near downtown!
Keller would be very convenient! (about 15 minutes from the towncenter to that intersection) Roanoak has apt rental as well and so does Trophey club.
The NWarea FT Worth has a bunch of retals and new communities finding something close to that area with decent rent will nto be hard. You will probably be able to find a rental house if that is something you are interested in.
Grapevine would be another good place to look... your finance would be going opposite of the morning rush on 114 so commute would be pretty quick 20-30minutes depending on where in Grapevine.

For your job you could look at the Alliance center, Texas Motor Speedway (there are a few hotels in that area) Keller, Westlake (Fidelity investments is there), Southlake, Grapevine (lots of Mrking potential)

5Stones, thank you! So very helpful. Having zero frame of reference is frustrating so your guidance is so helpful. Looked at the Alliance area at the Monterra Village apt rentals - also Boulder Ridge in TC? Online so many places look decent. Grand Estates at Keller?

Never heard of Texas Motor Speedway but looking into it pronto as well as the other locations. Once again, thanks so very much!

Lakes of Stone Glen - gated.in Keller..between Keller Parkway and Johnson Street. Nice folks, quiet. Walking distance to library and playground. 1 mile from shopping, 20 mins frmo movie theaters, Southlake, 30 from Grapevine. Let me know if you decide to go there...we have been here since Nov 09 and are really pleased with it. Pool, jacuzzi, weight/exercise room, we have a garage beneath our apt with access directly from garage as well as outside. Can't say enough about the place. Like I said, let me know if youa re interested and I can get you in touch with the one who will give you a great deal on rent!

Roanoke is north of FTW
I-35 and 377 up there are really bad for commuting--114 goes E/W -- it is due to start long term "improvement" work that will last for several years--170 is good but basically goes nowhere..
frankly the Mid-Cities to Roanoke would not be an easy commute

Grapevine and north Keller actually would be better than HEB or NRHills for him--
the only thing I can say is look at a map--look at it closely for major streets and remember there is no public transportation in this area--so you and everyone else are traveling by car

you can see there are obviously few N/S freeways--that means they are overcrowded and bad commutes--the North loop 820 between 183 interchange at NE Mall and around west to 287 is the worst piece of frwy in Tarrant county--
do anything you can NOT to be on it -- there is NO good time to use it IMO because it is bad even away from rush hour

roads like Precinct Line/Davis and Rufe Snow go from the Mid-Cities to FM1709--a busy thoroughfare--Hwy 377 is about the best N/S road and it has lots of traffic--wide in some stretches and narrow in others--lights...
Dove Rd north of 1709 is a meandering farm road that is really dangerous in some places--no lights and steep sides make passing a dangerous undertaking at times--lots of trucks in this area--construction vehicles because there is new construction going on in Westlake/north Keller...

1709/Southlake Blvd is THE W/E road with some help from 114 depending on where you are going--it turns into Golden Triangle Blvd once past 377--
but the area north of 1709 is a maze of two-lane blacktop roads with no street lights, 4 way stops, and open run-off ditches--makes for bad commuting--

Grapevine has a young feel--historical town center--restaurants and some restaurant bars--Grapevine municiple golf course is good but very difficult to get tee time if you like golf
Grapevine Mills Mall is closest--NE in Hurst and Vista Ridge in Lewisville are next closest
Grapevine is very close to Southlake which also has upscale strip shopping and restaurants...but no rental apts/townhomes there...none in Trophy Club either

There are apts in TC right off 114 The Vineyards at Trophy club...
The Vineyards at Trophy Club Apartments For Rent in Trophy Club, Texas - Apartment Rental and Community Details - ForRent.com
5-10 from 377-170 (job location) close to grocery and small stores.

Roanoak has Lost spurs ranch...Lost Spurs Ranch Apartments - Home
again very close to the job location 5-10min i would say. just off of 170.

Grand Estates in Keller is in a good location (south Keller) close to grocery and Target etc...and right on Tarrant pky. close to 377. don't know aobut amienties though.

Lake of Stone Glen are very nice! and can get to 377 very easily.

In Keller town center there are ....
Art House (apts and TH some have garages)
Dominion Town center (attached garages)
Both are walking distance to shopes, grocery, resturants and trails.

Grapevine is a bit further but has a great old downtown area... (20-30minutes at most to job area)
just know that htere is big construction going on 114-121 area (near Grapevine mills mall) so try to look at places that wont require you to have to be in that area daily. To avoid it use Bass Pro and 29 (colleyville blvd)

Wildwood creek Apartments in Grapevine seem to have a good location and garages...but Hopefully someone who lives in Grapevine can help out more...I don't know if there are any near historic downtown but that would be a nice location.

Good luck!!

Thanks Neauxbunny. loves & 5Stones. So helpful. Definitely interested in Lakes of Stone Glen. Can't see info about Grand Estates @ Keller but looks ok online. Vineyards @ TC looks decent too - Really need to spend some more time in the area I think, but all of this information is truly helpful.

Is the rule about being East of 377 legit? What about Heritage?

Thanks in advance!

Default Rental Locations

HI,
Was looking around and saw your questions...

Keller is High mortgage area, don't know about the rent, but there are some condo/garage living on North Beach Street, in North Fort Worth zip, but good thing is it's Keller ISD. 20-30 mins down I-35 to down town Ft Worth. Roanoake is about 15 minutes North on I-35. It's a good location! Heritage Trace Parkway is between both and I think there are some Condo/Garage rentals in that area too. Also, there are alot of homes that may be for rent in this area as the buying market has been slow on pre-established homes. This would be the "Heritage" area the previous poster mentioned.

Default Now it is the crunch to TX - Recruiters?

Hi - Anyone know of reputable Headhunters, Recruiters or Professsional Placement agencies geared toward the Roanoke, FTW, Grapevine area? Hiring Managers or proper places to submit resume? Have many local references and am glad to initiate communication.

Thank you!
