Hello!!!

Wondering if anyone has any suggestions as to lakefront or riverfront cabin rentals for a family vacation over the summer? I know these places tend to book up fast, which is why we're looking now.

We'd like to stay 2-3 maybe 4 hours radius of Frederick MD because of a grandma who can't travel too far . Looking for something fun for a family of all ages, maybe some hiking, biking, canoeing etc etc. Being able to have a bonfire would be great too!

Any suggestions would be appreciated!

I would look into Deep Creek Lake in Garrett County. It would have all of the things you are looking for. There are plenty of cabins for rent in the summer. The lake would be about a 2.5 hour drive from Frederick.

Deep Creek Lake was my suggestion along with Lake Anna, VA, which is a popular spot, too!
