Hi everyone,

i would like to move to frederick this summer. what are the best areas for a single female in her mid 30s. i would also like to purchase a home but my budget is only $200, 000. are there townhomes in this price range. Also i will be commuting to Silver Spring, MD for work. I drive but i would also like the option for public transit such as the Marc Train. What are the communities close to the Marc Train?

Townhomes in that range are either going to need a lot of work or be in less than desirable areas. My son was looking a year ago in that or a little higher range and settled on a Condo and I don't think the market has gotten any better. The commute to Silver Spring can be ugly. I stopped commuting 'down the road' a couple years ago and it has only gotten worse since then.

Frederick is a really busy town now if you like lots of traffic. It use to be nice with rolling hills and great outdoors feel. Now, lots of people moved here and it's so crowded.

The geography of Frederick hasn't changed. There are more people and the traffic is better than other metro cities Maryland.
