Someone told me about this today, saved me $50! You get a free office visit if its your first time. I know the economy is tough for many people, so I just wanted to spread the news for anyone who has been hesitant to take their pet to the vet.
These coupons are ongoing, and yes, they do try to sell you extra services. I took my cat there for a free office vist, and that's what he got. They wanted me to have him tested for leukemia and get his shots while he was there. I made an appointment to have his shots done, just to shut them up, but cancelled the appointment the next day.
I think the vets are pretty good, though, but they're young, possibly right out of school. But you've got to start somewhere to get experience, and start paying the student loans.

Be very careful! The cheap cost is to get you in the door. During your visit, they will push you many times to buy their "health plan" for your pet. At the time, I was quoted $210.00 for a year. Do a search on Banfield and read the comments about them. My own experience with them was very bad.
